Engie va construire une usine d’hydrogène renouvelable dans l’ouest de l’Australie

Engie a annoncé vendredi qu’il construirait une usine d’hydrogène renouvelable dans l’ouest de l’Australie afin d’alimenter une usine de production d’ammoniac du norvégien Yara International.

Le fournisseur de gaz et d’électricité, qui met notamment l’accent sur les énergies renouvelables, a annoncé que les travaux de construction du projet Yuri, d’un coût de 87 millions de dollars australiens (58 millions d’euros), devaient débuter en novembre. La production devrait commencer en 2024, a ajouté l’entreprise.

Le projet devrait produire 640 tonnes d’hydrogène par an, ont annoncé les entreprises et le gouvernement australien dans des communiqués distincts
